Cut & sew soft goods
Custom cut-and-sew, built to your tech pack.
Custom cut-and-sew manufacturing from JCH Design & Manufacturing. Bags, packs, apparel and outdoor gear built to your tech pack at vetted partner factories. Low MOQs, tariff-diversified sourcing, US-based program management.
Bags, packs, apparel and outdoor gear — specified stitch by stitch and sewn at vetted partner factories. Real minimums for a growing brand, honest sampling, and a supply chain that sits outside the China tariff lists.

Why brands come to us
The problems a growing soft-goods brand actually has.
You don’t need a lecture on supply chains. You need minimums you can afford, samples that match the next ones, and stitching that holds. That’s the job.
Minimums you can carry
Big factories want volumes a growing brand can’t commit to. We quote realistic MOQs per style so you can launch without burying cash in inventory.
Out of the China tariff lines
Sewn at vetted partner factories, your goods generally land outside the Section 301 lists. On many programs that duty gap is bigger than any price difference on the sew.
Stitching that holds
Bartacks at stress points, the right needle and thread for the substrate, box-X on load-bearing webbing. We write it into the tech pack and inspect against it.
Capabilities
What we make, sewn to spec.
If it’s cut, sewn, welded or assembled from soft materials, it’s in scope. A sample of what runs on these lines:
Bags & packs
Backpacks, duffels, slings, pouches, tool and tactical bags — MOLLE, daisy-chain webbing, laptop sleeves and internal organization.
Tactical & protective
Plate-carrier-style construction, hook-and-loop fields, reinforced handles and load-bearing webbing rated to your pull spec.
Apparel & accessories
Cut-and-sew tops, outerwear shells, aprons, hats and straps, graded across your size run with a measured first article.
Technical fabrics
Laminated and coated textiles, mesh, ripstop, PU and TPU welding, and waterproof taped seams where the spec calls for it.
Hardware & trim sourcing
Zippers, buckles, sliders, cord locks and D-rings sourced to a named grade — YKK and equivalents — not whatever is cheapest that week.
Sampling & fit
Pattern, proto and salesman samples, with a reference sample approved and held so lot three looks like lot one.

Materials & construction
Specified once, then held.
Pinned down before sampling, so there is nothing to argue about once a lot is running.

Questions
What buyers ask first.
What’s your minimum order?
It depends on the style and how complex the construction is. We quote a realistic MOQ per style rather than a one-size number — the goal is to let a growing brand launch without over-committing cash.
Can you match or improve a bag I already sell?
Yes. Send the physical sample or a detailed tech pack and we’ll review it, name the materials and hardware, and quote a matching or improved build.
What fabrics and hardware can you source?
Cordura and ballistic nylons, ripstop, canvas, coated and laminated textiles, YKK-class zippers and brand-equivalent buckles and sliders. We spec to a named grade, not ‘whatever’s cheapest.’
How long does sampling take?
Usually two to four weeks depending on fabric and hardware lead times. We build a reference sample, measure it to your points of measure, and hold the approved one as the production benchmark.
Do you do taped seams and welded construction?
Yes — PU/TPU welding and waterproof seam taping where the spec calls for it, plus standard bound, felled and reinforced seams.
